The "Thursday Society"
Welcome and Bienvenidos
EN: The "Thursday Society" is a society for free scientific and political exchange in the private sphere in the spirit of the European Enlightenment, liberal conservatism and the spirit of democracy. The events begin with a lecture by one of the participants on a scientific, political, artistic or cultural topic. The content of this lecture will be made available to the participating guests in the form of an essay at the end. This will be followed by a general discussion on the issues we have just heard. This discussion is free of reasoning, prejudices or political ideologies.
GE: Die "Donnerstagsgesellschaft" ist eine Gesellschaft zum freien wissenschaftlichen und politischen Austausch im privaten Kreis im Sinne der Europäischen Aufklärung, eines liberalen Konservatismus und im Geiste der Demokratie. Die Veranstaltungen beginnen jeweils mit einem Fachvortrag eines der Teilnehmer, jeweils zu einem wissenschaftlichen, politischen, künstlerischen oder kulturellen Thema. Der Inhalt dieses Vortrages wird am Ende in Form eines Essays den teilnehmenden Gästen zur Verfügung gestellt. Im Anschluss folgt eine allgemeine Diskussion zu dem soeben gehörten Themenkomplex. Diese Diskussion ist frei von Räsonnements, Vorurteilen oder politischen Ideologien.
The "Thursday Society" aims to welcome and bring together people from different fields of science, politics, art and culture with different worldviews. The "Thursday Society" wants to contribute to democracy, freedom of expression, free science and a free and dignified society in the context of European enlightenment and truth.
Die "Donnerstagsgesellschaft" hat den Anspruch, Menschen aus verschiedenen Bereichen der Wissenschaft, Politik, Kunst und Kultur mit verschiedenen Weltanschauungen aufzunehmen und zusammenzubringen. Die "Donnerstagsgesellschaft" möchte einen Beitrag zur Demokratie, freien Äußerung der Meinung, zur freien Wissenschaft und zu einer freien menschenwürdigen Gesellschaft im Rahmen der Europäischen Aufklärung und der Wahrheit leisten.
